What is Footy Fortune?
It's a daily football horoscope for the 2026 World Cup. Pick your team to get your football sign, read your daily fortune, lock a prophecy on real matches, and after the final whistle find out whether the stars were on your side. It's pure entertainment — there's no betting of any kind.
What's a football sign?
Your sign is a playful football persona — The Stoppage-Time Striker, The Catenaccio Mystic, The Penalty Whisperer and more. It's decided from your favourite team and your birth month, and it colours every reading the oracle writes for you.
How do I make a prediction?
Open a match and "lock the prophecy": call the result (home win, draw or away win), the total goals, and whether it's your Star Pick of the day. You can change your call until kickoff; after kickoff it's locked. When the match finishes, the real result decides your points.
How does scoring work?
You score for each layer you get right — the result and the total goals — and your Star Pick of the day carries a bonus. Keep a day streak going and your accuracy is tracked layer by layer, so you can see exactly how sharp you are.
Does the oracle decide the result?
No. The result of every match is the real result of the real match, pulled from a public data feed. The oracle (our AI) only writes the daily fortune, the star reading on your pick and the playful verdict afterwards — pure flavour, and it never changes a score.
The oracle said something odd.
The readings are AI-generated, so an occasional strange line can slip through. It's purely cosmetic and can't affect your points. If something looks wrong, email us a screenshot and we'll improve it.
Do I need an internet connection?
The core — your sign, locking a prophecy, scoring and the verdict — works offline. Only the live oracle text needs a connection; without one, the app falls back to built-in lines, so you're never blocked.
Can I add my own matches?
Yes. Alongside the tournament fixtures you can add your own matches to predict on and resolve by hand. The app may also show AI-suggested matchups — these are clearly marked and are not official fixtures.
How do I reset my progress?
Settings → clear your statistics removes your prophecies, streaks and history. Deleting the app also removes all local data.
Is this an official FIFA or World Cup app?
No. Footy Fortune is an independent entertainment app and is not affiliated with FIFA, UEFA or any official organisation, league or competition. Team names are used for identification only, and there's no real-money betting of any kind.
